Your NAMI Ashtabula Team

NAMI Ashtabula is affiliated with NAMI Ohio and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

We have a simple mission: Our goal is to enhance the lives of those suffering from mental illness and their families and loved ones, through support, education and advocacy.

Jeanne Odell

Group Coordinator

Jeanne is all heart and works hard to keep our NAMI Ashtabula groups on track. With her husband, David, she is a foster and adoptive mom to a very full household. Yet, she still finds a way to be able to care for everybody who comes through the classes or support groups.

"I am the brain of the team." She is an active member of our NAMI Ashtabula group, always willing to jump in and help. She is a mother, friend, daughter, girlfriend, and a loving person willing to walk with those in need.

Mia Pettit

Mitchell Scott

Publicity Chairperson

"I am a suffering clown and philosopher." NAMI Ashtabula has given Mitchell an opportunity to open up to others and make peace with his own struggles. "It is easy to sit in your own misery and become a hermit, shutting out the world around you. Since I have been involved with NAMI Ashtabula, I don't feel so alone."
